It is frustrating for the sun to like to shine, fill the world with hope and love but something as dim and overwhelming as the clouds impose their rules! Instead of the warmth and light of the sun, we are inundated by its tears...
. * * * * * * * * * * * *
A cold grey day in the middle of spring,
A rainy winter, in the month of April!
Mother Nature couldn’t make up her mind yet,
Which tune to play or which instrument.
The sun is defeated by the clouds;
Dim and dense, mercilessly put her out!
“I must be there” said the sun,
“I am bound by commitments:
Buds to flourish and fruits to ripe,
I cannot just let them down”.
Heartlessly, the black clouds
Kept gathering around,
Till her tears deluged the trees,
The rivers and the fields.

Footprints.
This is a story of someone who didn’t choose his destination, but destiny did it for him. While there, he didn’t know for how long or what would be awaiting him.
Standing all alone
On the railway platform,
Heading south, east or north
He does not actually know!
Weary of his long run
Sat on a bench facing the sun
Wondering which path to take
And what would be his fate!
Then a whisper in the brain
Unexpectedly came:
“jump in the next train,
And you’ll never complain;
It’ll take you to green plains”.
Not knowing what life has in store
He complied without a second thought.
The train was number eighty two
And to the unknown it flew.
Dazzled by the events
He couldn’t tell the time he spent
Before he reached the promised land.
"Here I am, I wonder where!"
“Baths”, says the sign over there!“That’s your first destination”,
Said the voice in assertion,
“Yet, by no means the last,
So go and build on your past”.
Wandering lonely as a cloud
But feeling somehow proud,
To set foot on his journey paths
In this place called “Baths”.
Standing on his stage with no fears,
Marveled, his audience were all ears.
Among them he noticed with a sigh
A shy admiring brown eye...
Was it the end, or else the start?
In fact it was, alas, time to part!
leaving behind a lifetime precious print
At which no soul could hint.
“And now” said he”, what am I to do? “
The same old voice resumed
“you’ll always be on the go, son
Go, err in all directions
Till you get hold of the sun.”

YOU ARE EVERYTHING THAT SPARKLES.
Being brought up in an environment where Nizar Kabbani was omnipresent, where his books filled the bookshelves and where all the songs played in the house –or in the car-were signed by him, made of me the “incurable lover”-as a dear friend described me once-and the everlasting romantic soul that you will discover in this blog.
I do believe that being perpetually in love is crucial for a happy life; you would tell me, however, that this is a transcendental way of considering life.

Like a star, high high in the sky,
you fill me with joy and pleasure in the eye.
“Can I come to you?” said I with a sigh,
“there is no way unless you can fly.”
Like the sun , you glitter like gold
and shelter me from the winter cold.
“Gorgeous sun”, begged I and told:
“shed me a beam which I can hold!”
“nay”,said you!” this page you should fold!”
Like the breathtaking full moon,
you took me out of the gloom!
“can I take a shuttle and come to you soon?”
As an answer, you played the same tune.
“Dear girl,” said you, “there will be a day
when will come to youyou fill me with joy and pleasure in the eye.

“Dear girl,” said you, “there will be a day
the star, the sun and the moon
and then together sing your old, old tunes.”

Trails of life.

Who has never found himself, in the middle of a journey, in the obligation to choose either a path or another. It goes without saying that none of us knows where each one will lead us to. Nonetheless, you can't stand there for ever. You don't have a clue as which way to go? I, personally, would follow my heart, it never misleads me. This is what life is all about! I see it as an eternal adventure.
So, were you in such a situation, don't panic and go ahead where you heart leads you.
